We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will expect all sites associated with us to only use the information that is collected about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice.

We expect all sites associated with us, and the sites to which we are affiliated, to collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We expect all sites associated with us not e-mail you in the future unless you have given them your consent.

We expect traders associated with us to give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from them.

The type of information they will collect about you
(if you make a purchase)could include:

  • your name
  • address
  • phone number
  • email address
  • credit/debit card details
  • We expect all sites associated with us to never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

    The information they hold should be accurate and up to date. You should be able to check the information that they hold about you by emailing them. If you find any inaccuracies they should delete or correct it promptly.

    The personal information held by all sites associated with us should be held securely in accordance with a internal security policy.

    We, and the sites associated with us, should always tell you and always obtain your consent first if we intend to transfer your information outside the countries in which they and you are trading.

    We and the sites associated with us, as is the general practice on the internet, may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. You, as is the general practice, will not be asked you about this. However, no links should ever be put on your site for which you do not expressly give consent

    Although we EXPECT all sites associated with us to follow this policy WE HAVE NO WAY OF VERIFY that they do UNLESS WE RECEIVE A COMPLAINT or feedback from those trading with them.     Monitoring

    We agree to monitor the effectiveness of this code on Comnames network sites and the sites to which Comnames is affiliated through feedback of complaints and comments.


    Enforcement

    If we discover that sites to which Comnames is affiliated have not complied with this code and if the breach is serious, we will take enforcement action. We will investigate and attempt to resolve the problem. If action is not agreed, or agreed but not taken, we will end our affiliation with the trader.
